Biography
Bogdan Djukanovic (1996, Arandjelovac) completed his undergraduate and master’s academic studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, during which he was a part of a student exchange at the Academy of Fine Arts in Xi’an, China. He continued his artistic improvement at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in France. Djukanovic’s works have been exhibited extensively at significant local and international exhibitions dedicated to emerging artists. He is the founder of the student experimental space Flu OpenLab in Belgrade. Throughout his studies, he was awarded several times for his work so far.
In his artistic practice, he reacts to phenomena from everyday life and the environment in which he finds himself. He is in search of materials and sights that, with their symbolism, physical traits and visual presence, reflect characteristic occurrences from society. By using often contrasting materials and their mutual correlation, he tries to create symbolic constructions, which in interaction with the public build a platform for a possible dialogue, encouraging new observations.
